Our analytical, client support and back office teams are now working from home, however we have robust systems in place that ensure all of our clients continue to receive the highest level of service

6th August 2020:  Update Regarding COVID-19

On Thursday 30th July the Scottish government released the following information:

We have not yet set a date for the re-opening of non-essential offices and call centres and we do not anticipate that these should open until some time after the 10 September review date (i.e. not before 11 September). Even for those workplaces that are able to open, we will continue to emphasise that working from home, where feasible, should be the default position.

As such, AgbioInvestor offices will remain closed until at least the 11th September, in line with Scottish Government guidelines.

AgbioInvestor to Speak at IFA Global Conference

AgbioInvestor is pleased to announce that Derek Oliphant will be speaking at the IFA Global Markets Conference in Dubai, UAE, on the 5th March 2020. Derek, a partner and senior analyst at AgbioInvestor, will be presenting his views on the potential disruptors influencing the future of the agricultural inputs industry.

The partners at AgbioInvestor note recent press releases based on analysis of agrochemical data by Unearthed, which we understand was derived from the agrochemical consultancy firm Phillips McDougall.

The original founding partners of Phillips McDougall divested Phillips McDougall, including its brand name, during 2013.

The management at AgbioInvestor wish to make it clear that no team member of AgbioInvestor has ever been involved in the preparation, analysis and reporting of the datasets in question, nor is there any ongoing relationship or interest in Phillips McDougall.

AgbioInvestor has a strict vetting process in place that safeguards all our proprietary information against unauthorised use.

AgbioInvestor to Speak at Bank of America Conference

AgbioInvestor is pleased to announce that Dr Matthew Phillips and Allister Phillips will be speaking at the Bank of America Global Agriculture and Materials Conference in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, on the 27th and 28th of February 2020. AgbioInvestor will be presenting its views on the global crop protection and seed industries.

AgbioInvestor Launches AgbioTrade

AgbioInvestor has launched a new service that allows tracking, quantification and analysis of imports and exports of agrochemicals across a wide number of countries. Analysis is available at the technical and formulated level. For more information please click here.

AgbioInvestor Team Further Expands

AgbioInvestor are delighted to announce the appointments of Neil Fleming in the position of Junior Analyst and Sam Stones in the position of Apprentice Data Analyst. 

Neil graduated from the University of Aberdeen with an MSc in Geographic Information Systems. Neil has joined AgbioInvestor’s core analytical team where he will focus on crop commodity tracking, analysis and forecasting.

Sam joins as an apprentice directly from the prestigious Loretto School in East Lothian.  Sam will be training under the AgbioInvestor analytical team to gain knowledge and experience in the global agrochemical markets.

Annual Precision Farming & Agriculture 4.0 Summit Barcelona

27th June 2019: CCPIA Conference Chongqing

May 2019: IUPAC Conference, Ghent, Belgium

AgbioInvestor presented at the 14th international IUPAC conference in Ghent, Belgium.  The presentation, titled Agrochemical Industry Development, Trends in R&D and the impact of regulation is available for subscribers to AgbioCrop and AgbioSeed to download here.

February 2019: AgbioInvestor Team Expands

AgbioInvestor are delighted to announce the appointment of Rachael Lowe in the position of Junior Analyst.

Rachael graduated Edinburgh University with a BSc (Hons) in Geophysics and Meteorology, and will be involved in AgbioInvestor’s new agricultural weather tracking and reporting service, which is currently in development.

February 2019: AgbioInvestor to Present at CAC 2019

Dr Matthew Phillips will represent AgbioInvestor as a keynote speaker at the 20th CAC Conference in Shanghai on Monday 4th March 2019.

In keeping with the 20th anniversary celebrations of the event, the presentation will focus on the development of the agrochemical Industry between 1998 to 2018, and the prospects for the next 20 years.

September 2018: AgbioInvestor / CropLife Publish EU Report

Agriculture is an important element of the overall economic and social structure of the European Union (EU). This report, which has been commissioned by CropLife International, will analyse the current position of agriculture in the EU and the industries which support it.

The report provides an outlook on agriculture in the EU if the current trends continue.
