Nu Genes, an Indian seed company involved in hybrid seed development, production, processing and marketing, has raised over $6 million in funding from the Innovation in Food and Agriculture (IFA) fund. The company focuses on crops such as pearl millet, maize, sorghum, and rice, with this to be expanded to vegetable crops such as tomato, chilli, okra, bitter gourd, bottle gourd, and watermelon.
