The Chinese company Lier Chemical is reportedly to upgrade its glufosinate facility to enable the production of L-glufosinate. In co-ordination with the first environmental impact assessment of its glufosinate product upgrading project, Lier will convert the biologically inactive D-isomer in glufosinate into the active L-glufosinate, which will reportedly improve efficacy and reduce volume use.
